Massage Therapy

  Kristi Derflinger is a Licensed Massage Therapist that attended Knox County Career Center, School of Massage Therapy. Kristi tested with the State Medical Board of Ohio and obtained her Massage License in 2010.

  Kristi has worked in the Health Care Industry for 16 years and has always been passionate about helping others. Kristi was awarded the Hospice Compassionate Care Award by her peers. This award has a sentimental value to her as she feels this reflects on her compassion for others.

  Kristi decided to return to school for massage, a longtime interest of hers, once her child entered High School.  Kristi understands the numerous benefits of Massage Therapy and her goal is to be able to educate others as well through her touch. Kristi specializes in Swedish Tissue Massage and is also skilled in Deep Tissue Massage and Trigger Point Therapy. Kristi feels the most rewarding part of her career is helping others feel better though her touch.  A few benefits of massage therapy are: lymph & blood circulation, improved muscle tone, reduced anxiety and quicker recovery time after an injury. The best benefit is the relaxation it provides. Kristi Derflinger is an independently contracted licensed massage therapist working at the Orr Chiropractic Center.  She works closely with Dr. Julia Allerton to help patients maximize their healing of many health conditions. Kristi serves people from every profession and age, whether it be the stay at home mom and her children, the hard working handyman, physically impaired or the elderly.

Kristi is a long time resident of Johnstown and lives with her husband Steve and her daughter Kourtnee. She has two boxers named Rocky and Steele. She enjoys spending time with her family, cheering for her daughter and young cousins in their various sports, and playing poker with her friends.
